What is “Immersive Technology”?

Immersive Technology is a term we hope to popularize which encompasses Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and accompanying peripheral technologies.

 

What is the Immersive Technology Conference?

The Immersive Technology Conference (ITC) is a Technology and Software conference dedicated to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality solutions. It was designed with the goal of introducing these technologies to, among others, the Medical, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Education industries that Houston is home to. ITC aims to bring together developers, companies, and startups to discuss, collaborate, and innovate on these technologies.

When and where is the Immersive Technology Conference being held?

The first annual Immersive Technology Conference, or ITC for short, will be held on November 14th through 16th at the University of Houston located at 4455 University Dr. Houston, TX 77004

 

Where can attendees park on campus?

Exhibitors, Speakers, Attendees, and Volunteers can park in either of the two Parking garages on the University of Houston campus grounds. Please see the map here for reference. Parking garage 1 on the map is the closest and preferred parking location for this event.

 

How much does parking cost?

Parking costs $12 per day in the on campus parking garages. There is unfortunately no free parking on campus. Due to this we recommend attendees who can do so either take public transportation such as the Metro Rail Purple Line or ride sharing services like Uber or Lyft, which both service the Houston area.

 

Who should attend?

Anyone currently working in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality or related peripherals should attend the Immersive Technology Conference. In addition if you are a developer or are looking to get into the industry this would be a good event to attend. Likewise if you or your company would like to learn about this emerging platform and/or would like to implement some of the latest technology into your business we recommend you attend.

 

How many attendees will there be?

We are expecting over 100 attendees for our inaugural conference. We are happy to welcome attendees, exhibitors and speakers from across the globe and look forward to the future growth of this conference.

 

Why should I come to the Immersive Technology Conference?

The primary objective of this conference is to bring together companies, developers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts in the area and across the world to discuss, collaborate, innovate, and exhibit the latest in Immersive Technologies. We hope to introduce this rapidly growing medium to companies who are not yet, or are just beginning to, use Immersive Technologies in their businesses to enhance their products and services.

When is the Expo Floor open?

The ITC 2016 Expo Floor will open at 10AM Monday (11/14/2016) and 9AM on Tuesday (11/15/2016) and Wednesday (11/16/2016). Speaking sessions will be held from 10AM to 5PM each day. Please see our full speaker schedule here.

 

How do I register as an attendee or exhibitor and how much does it cost?

Unfortunately Early Bird and standard registrations are now closed. If you would still like to attend the conference you can sign up for late registration right now on our registration page here. The prices vary between types of registration and ticket sales end 11/13/2016.

 

Is lunch included?

Unfortunately we will not be serving lunch at this year’s Immersive Technology Conference. However, there are several dining options conveniently located downstairs at the conference venue and in the surrounding area within walking distance.
